Pilot for Airbus A320 Asiana Airlines A320

The Airbus A320 family consists of short- to medium-range, narrow-body, commercial passenger jet Airliners manufactured by Airbus. The family includes the A318, A319, A320 and A321, and the ACJ business jet. The A320s are also named A320ceo (current engine option) after the introduction of the A320neo. Final assembly of the family in Europe takes place in Toulouse, France, and Hamburg, Germany. Starting in 2009, a plant in Tianjin, China, has also been producing Aircraft for Chinese Airlines. In April 2013, Airbus started construction of a new production facility for the A319, A320, and A321 variants in Mobile, Alabama. The Aircraft family can accommodate up to 220 passengers and has a range of 3,100 to 12,000 km (1,700 to 6,500 nmi), depending on model.

The first member of the A320 family—the A320—was launched in March 1984, first flew on 22 February 1987, and was first delivered in 1988. The family was soon extended to include the A321 (first delivered 1994), the A319 (1996), and the A318 (2003). The A320 family pioneered the use of digital fly-by-wire flight control systems, as well as side-stick controls, in commercial Aircraft. There has been a continuous improvement process since introduction.

In December 2010, Airbus officially launched the new generation of the A320 family with the A320neo "New Engine Option".[7] The new generation offers a choice of the CFM International LEAP-X or Pratt & Whitney PW1000G, combined with Airframe improvements and the addition of winglets, named Sharklets by Airbus. The Aircraft will deliver fuel savings of up to 15%. Virgin America will be the launch customer for the Aircraft in spring of 2016. As of December 2011, a total of 1,196 A320neo family Aircraft have been ordered by 21 Airlines, making it the fastest ever selling commercial Aircraft.

As of July 2013, a total of 5,677 Airbus A320 family Aircraft have been delivered, of which 5,481 are in service. In addition, another 4,135 Airliners are on firm order. It ranked as the world's fastest-selling jet Airliner family according to records from 2005 to 2007, and as the best-selling single-generation Aircraft programme.[9][10] The A320 family has proved popular with Airlines including low-cost carriers such as EasyJet who purchased A319s, and A320s, to replace its Boeing 737 fleet. The Aircraft family competes/has competed directly with the Boeing 737, 717, 757, and the McDonnell Douglas MD-80/MD-90

Vietnam Airlines A320:-

Vietnam Airlines (Vietnamese: Hãng Hàng không Qu?c gia Vi?t Nam) is the flag carrier of Vietnam.[6] Founded in 1956 under the name Vietnam Civil Aviation, the Airline was established as a state-owned enterprise in April 1989. Vietnam Airlines is headquartered in Long Bien District, Hanoi, with hubs at Noi Bai International Airport and Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The Airline flies to 52 destinations in 17 countries, excluding codeshared services.

From its inception until the early 1990s, Vietnam Airlines was a minor carrier within the aviation industry as it was hampered by a variety of factors including the socio-economic and political situation of the country. With the government's normalization of relations with the United States, the Airline was able to expand, improve its products and services, and modernize its ageing fleet. In 1996, the Vietnamese government brought together 20 service companies to form Vietnam Airlines Corporation, with the Airline itself as the centrepiece. In 2010, the corporation was restructured into a limited liability company and renamed Vietnam Airlines Company Limited. A seven-seat management board, members of which are appointed by the Vietnamese Prime Minister, oversees the company.

As passenger transport constitutes its core activity, Vietnam Airlines plays a crucial role in the economic development of the country. It owns 100% of Vietnam Air Service Company – a regional Airline in southern Vietnam, 70% of the low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific Airlines, and 49% of the Cambodian national Airline Cambodia Angkor Air. In addition, the corporation earns revenue from Airline catering and the maintenance and overhauling of Aircraft through a number of its subsidiaries, including Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company and Vietnam Airlines Caterers. The company has also diversified its investments in the Aircraft-leasing and Airport ground-servicing industries, and is looking to manufacture Aircraft components. It controls and operates a cargo division, Vietnam Airlines Cargo.

Vietnam Airlines became a member of SkyTeam in June 2010, making it the first Southeast Asian carrier to have joined that alliance. It is expected to be restructured and partially privatized by 2015 to help it streamline its services and better compete with other Airlines. This would facilitate its long-term development plan that involves the improvement of its products and services, and the expansion of its fleet and flight network, as the Airline aspires to become the second-largest full-service carrier in Southeast Asia by 2020.

A320 Captain in Beijing Capital Airlines

What is an A320 Type Rating?  Or for that matter a Type Rating on any Aircraft.

It is a qualification that all Civil Aviation Authorities require you to complete before you may fly a complex type of Aircraft or helicopter.

Unlike light Aircraft where you would complete a Class Rating and then be qualified to fly a group of similar planes, the Type Rating goes into far more depth depending on the complexity of the Aircrafts systems and flying characteristics.

The Type Rating would take the form of an element of Ground School, Fixed Base simulator training and then Full Flight simulator training on very sophisticated level D devices. The final requirement would be to actually fly six touch and go’s in the form of six circuits. Once all the required training has taken place with an approved TRTO (Type Rating Training Organisation) then the Aircraft rating is issued onto the candidate’s professional flying licence.

To qualify for the A320 type rating course with our or any UK TRTO you would have had to have completed either a Modular or Integrated frozen ATPL (Airline Transport Pilots Licence) course with a JAA (Joint Airworthiness Authority) flying school or otherwise known as an FTO (Flight Training Organisation).

Peach Aviation:-

Peach Aviation  Peach Aviation Kabushiki Gaisha, operating under the brand name Peach) is a low-cost Airline based in Japan. Its head office is on the fifth floor of Kensetsu-to (??? Kensetsu-to?) on the property of Kansai International Airport in Izumisano, Osaka Prefecture.

Peach was formed in February 2011 as A&F Aviation, a joint venture between All Nippon Airways (ANA) and the First Eastern Investment Group, a Hong Kong-based private equity and venture capital firm. The company applied for an operating certificate in April 2011 and changed its name to Peach Aviation in May 2011.[5] Its shares are held in almost equal portions by ANA, FEIG, and the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (INCJ), ANA holding a slightly larger share of the three.

Peach's Aircraft livery was designed by Neil Denari, and its crew uniforms by James Wilkie.  The Airline is based at Kansai International Airport.  In July 2011, Peach received 1,909 applications for its first class of ninety flight attendants.

At one time, its headquarters were located on the third floor of Aeroplaza  located on the property of Kansai International Airport in Tajiri, Sennan District, Osaka Prefecture.[10][11] On 1 August 2011, Peach announced that it was moving its operations office from Aeroplaza to Kensetsu-to.[12]

The Airline's first flight was on 1 March 2012, between Kansai and New Chitose Airport, which serves the Sapporo metropolitan area.[13]

Peach was the most successful of the three new Japanese low-cost carriers during their first year of operations, with average load factors around 80 percent versus 70 percent for Jetstar Japan and 50 to 60 percent for AirAsia Japan. Peach's 24-hour operations and exclusive terminal at Kansai Airport were credited for its relative success,[14] as well as its stronger focus on certain passenger experience factors such as its reservations and check-in systems.[15]

Peach cancelled over 2,000 planned flights for the summer 2014 season (about 16% of its total capacity) due to a shortage of pilots. The Airline planned to have 62 pilots by October 2014 but only had 52 as of April, eight of whom were sick or injured and unable to fly. Loss of pilots to other Airlines was a cause for the shortage.

the A321 (first delivered 1994), the A319 (1996), and the

A318 (2003). The A320 family pioneered the use of digital

fly-by-wire flight control systems, as well as side-stick

controls, in commercial aircraft. There has been a

continuous improvement process since introduction.

In December 2010, Airbus officially launched the new

generation of the A320 family with the A320neo "New Engine

Option".[7] The new generation offers a choice of the CFM

International LEAP-X or Pratt & Whitney PW1000G, combined

with airframe improvements and the addition of winglets,

named Sharklets by Airbus. The aircraft will deliver fuel

savings of up to 15%. Virgin America will be the launch

customer for the aircraft in spring of 2016. As of December

2011, a total of 1,196 A320neo family aircraft have been

ordered by 21 airlines, making it the fastest ever selling

commercial aircraft.[8]

As of July 2013, a total of 5,677 Airbus A320 family

aircraft have been delivered, of which 5,481 are in service.

In addition, another 4,135 airliners are on firm order. It

ranked as the world's fastest-selling jet airliner family

according to records from 2005 to 2007, and as the best-

selling single-generation aircraft programme.[9][10] The

A320 family has proved popular with airlines including low-

cost carriers such as EasyJet who purchased A319s, and

A320s, to replace its Boeing 737 fleet. The aircraft family

competes/has competed directly with the Boeing 737, 717,

757, and the McDonnell Douglas MD-80/MD-90.

Airbus A320 demand:

The A320 is the fastest selling airliner in the history of

commercial aviation. At the Paris Airshow 2011, Airbus

received an unprecedented 667 A320 commitments from airlines

and lessors, leading to a backlog of over 1000 units. There

will be an increase in A320 pilot JOBS as a result of the

Airbus A320 families success.

Contracts OFFER great pay, commuting & non-commuting

options, comprehensive insurance, and per diems. Generous

travel benefits for monthly days off are also available.

Rishworth Aviation provides flight crew with quality up to

date pre-screening support and advice, and great on-contract

support.

a contract for up to 117 A320 Family aircraft (25 A321ceo, 4

Turkish carrier. The engine selection will be made at a

later date.

Faruk Cizmecioglu, Chief MARKETING Officer. “At Turkish

Airlines our customers expect the best. The A320 Family with

its economic benefits combined with superior cabin comfort

“We are delighted with this new order from Turkish Airlines,

which takes us above 2,000 NEO orders in a little over two

years after launch” said John Leahy, Airbus Chief Operating

Officer, Customers. “This order confirms that the NEO is the

most cost effective and profitable solution for airlines

with ambitious growth plans. The 15 per cent fuel saving and

the widest cabin in its class give Turkish Airlines a big

competitive advantage.”

Turkish Airlines already operates 75 A320 Family aircraft.

The new order will help Turkish Airlines expand their short

to medium-haul routes from their Istanbul hub, while the

aircraft’s commonality with their existing Airbus fleet will

generate additional cost-savings.

Incorporating new engines and large Sharklet wing tip

devices, the A320neo Family will deliver fuel savings of 15

percent. In addition, the A320neo Family will provide a

double-digit reduction in NOx emissions and reduced engine

noise. The A320neo will enter into service from late 2015,

followed by the A319neo and A321neo in 2016.

More than 9,150 A320 Family aircraft have been ordered and

more than 5,450 delivered to more than 385 customers and

operators worldwide reaffirming its position as the world’s
