Pilot for Airbus A320 Vietnam Airlines A320
The Airbus A320 family consists of short- to medium-range, narrow-body, commercial passenger jet Airliners manufactured by Airbus. The family includes the A318, A319, A320 and A321, and the ACJ business jet. The A320s are also named A320ceo (current engine option) after the introduction of the A320neo.[4] Final assembly of the family in Europe takes place in Toulouse, France, and Hamburg, Germany. Starting in 2009, a plant in Tianjin, China, has also been producing Aircraft for Chinese Airlines.[5] In April 2013, Airbus started construction of a new production facility for the A319, A320, and A321 variants in Mobile, Alabama.[6] The Aircraft family can accommodate up to 220 passengers and has a range of 3,100 to 12,000 km (1,700 to 6,500 nmi), depending on model.
The first member of the A320 family—the A320—was launched in March 1984, first flew on 22 February 1987, and was first delivered in 1988. The family was soon extended to include the A321 (first delivered 1994), the A319 (1996), and the A318 (2003). The A320 family pioneered the use of digital fly-by-wire flight control systems, as well as side-stick controls, in commercial Aircraft. There has been a continuous improvement process since introduction.
In December 2010, Airbus officially launched the new generation of the A320 family with the A320neo "New Engine Option".[7] The new generation offers a choice of the CFM International LEAP-X or Pratt & Whitney PW1000G, combined with Airframe improvements and the addition of winglets, named Sharklets by Airbus. The Aircraft will deliver fuel savings of up to 15%. Virgin America will be the launch customer for the Aircraft in spring of 2016. As of December 2011, a total of 1,196 A320neo family Aircraft have been ordered by 21 Airlines, making it the fastest ever selling commercial Aircraft.[8]
As of July 2013, a total of 5,677 Airbus A320 family Aircraft have been delivered, of which 5,481 are in service. In addition, another 4,135 Airliners are on firm order. It ranked as the world's fastest-selling jet Airliner family according to records from 2005 to 2007, and as the best-selling single-generation Aircraft programme.[9][10] The A320 family has proved popular with Airlines including low-cost carriers such as EasyJet who purchased A319s, and A320s, to replace its Boeing 737 fleet. The Aircraft family competes/has competed directly with the Boeing 737, 717, 757, and the McDonnell Douglas MD-80/MD-90

Vietnam Airlines A320:-
Vietnam Airlines (Vietnamese: Hãng Hàng không Qu?c gia Vi?t Nam) is the flag carrier of Vietnam.[6] Founded in 1956 under the name Vietnam Civil Aviation, the Airline was established as a state-owned enterprise in April 1989. Vietnam Airlines is headquartered in Long Bien District, Hanoi, with hubs at Noi Bai International Airport and Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The Airline flies to 52 destinations in 17 countries, excluding codeshared services.
From its inception until the early 1990s, Vietnam Airlines was a minor carrier within the aviation industry as it was hampered by a variety of factors including the socio-economic and political situation of the country. With the government's normalization of relations with the United States, the Airline was able to expand, improve its products and services, and modernize its ageing fleet. In 1996, the Vietnamese government brought together 20 service companies to form Vietnam Airlines Corporation, with the Airline itself as the centrepiece. In 2010, the corporation was restructured into a limited liability company and renamed Vietnam Airlines Company Limited. A seven-seat management board, members of which are appointed by the Vietnamese Prime Minister, oversees the company.
As passenger transport constitutes its core activity, Vietnam Airlines plays a crucial role in the economic development of the country. It owns 100% of Vietnam Air Service Company – a regional Airline in southern Vietnam, 70% of the low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific Airlines, and 49% of the Cambodian national Airline Cambodia Angkor Air. In addition, the corporation earns revenue from Airline catering and the maintenance and overhauling of Aircraft through a number of its subsidiaries, including Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company and Vietnam Airlines Caterers. The company has also diversified its investments in the Aircraft-leasing and Airport ground-servicing industries, and is looking to manufacture Aircraft components. It controls and operates a cargo division, Vietnam Airlines Cargo.
Vietnam Airlines became a member of SkyTeam in June 2010, making it the first Southeast Asian carrier to have joined that alliance. It is expected to be restructured and partially privatized by 2015 to help it streamline its services and better compete with other Airlines. This would facilitate its long-term development plan that involves the improvement of its products and services, and the expansion of its fleet and flight network, as the Airline aspires to become the second-largest full-service carrier in Southeast Asia by 2020.
